Hans Christensen Dies at Home in American Fork

Hans Christensen 87 of American Fork died at home after an illness. Born April 7, 1869 in American Fork to Hans and Marian Jorgensen Christensen. Married Sarah Spratley Dee May 20, 1894 in Salt Lake Temple. Surviving wife, one son Marion H Christensen American Fork, one daughter Arvilla Harvey Pleasant Grove, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Seventh Second LDS Ward chapel. Burial American Fork Cemetery.

Adult Course In Parenthood Listed by District

A district wide adult education program for modern parents starts January 9 and July 14. Ten sessions titled Parenthowl in a Free Nation, funded by the Fund for Adult Education, will be held at Forbes Elementary American Fork Pleasant Grove High Sharon and Orem sites, with Lehi High on January 14. Classes begin 7 30 pm with groups capped at twenty. Local leaders from American Fork Pleasant Grove Orem and nearby communities trained by Miss Winifred Hazen will guide discussions on security and adequacy self understanding democratic values problem solving discipline responsibility and change. Jaycees and Gems Hold Christmas Party in Pleasant Grove

The Pleasant Grove Jaycees and Gems hosted their annual Christmas Party at a local cafe on Wednesday December 19. Gem officers planned the event with invitations from Mrs Kenneth Shoell and favors by Mrs Jack Lee entertaining by Don Hales as MC. After dinner, games awarded prizes to guests including Mr and Mrs Holly Maxfield. Santa visited, distributed gifts, and led carols before dancing the rest of the evening.

Mother and Baby Course to Start in PG Monday

A Mother and Baby course sponsored by Mel roms and City-County Health De PRON will begin Monday in the basement of the Moasant Grove City Hall. Public health nurse Betts Mikewell will teach, with sessions each Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Registration for the three week course will be held at the City Hall.
