Arnold Jim Green Jr of the Roughout Club was installed as president of District 10 Riding Clubs of Utah County. Ronald Gurney Wounded in Vietnam
Ronald Gurney of Lindon has been injured in action in Vietnam near Buell on December 23. He is at Pampanga Hospital in Japan after surgery and is expected to return to the United States late February. The 1966 PGHS graduate joined the army in 1968 and serves with the 25th Infantry Division as a 1st gunner on an M60 machine gun.

Pleasant Grove city Recreation Department announces brush clearing south of the water tank to create a tubing run with snow movement improving conditions after storms. Parking is advised below the old corral and a smaller tubing area remains in use. Longer tubing will use the roadway to the water intake when available. For sleigh riding, hills at 2nd North between 4th and 5th East will be prepared with barricades by city crews to protect riders. barricades should remain to prevent firewood use.
