City delivery to start in Pleasant Grove July 1
Postmaster Ray Mills says city mail delivery could begin around July 1 if Post Office Department specifications are met. Inspector P H Bessiewer from Salt Lake City is inspecting the post office and city, recommending changes before house-to-house delivery is approved. Key steps include correcting street numbers on north streets and ensuring proper house numbers on all buildings and edge-of-street boxes. A foot carrier and a mounted carrier will operate under civil service with contracts for the vehicle.
