The twelve year old son of Mr and Mrs William Prestwich of Orem fell from a manure spreader Tuesday and suffered serious injuries including a possible skull fracture and was briefly unconscious.

Mrs Read Johnson of Lin don Utah has been chosen by Utah State Agricultural College to study at the Merrill Palmer School in Detroit Michigan for the spring quarter. She is the first student from the college to receive the scholarship and during three years there has been active in student affairs serving as vice president of the Associated Women Students. She plans to depart for the East in late March.

Grade Linebaugh of Pleasant Grove Utah a sophomore at Utah State Agricultural College was elected president last week of the Delta Nu social fraternity. Linebaugh is registered in agriculture with a major in animal husbandry and belongs to the Ag club the Jesters club and the college tennis squad.

Pioneer and Prominent Citizen James Bullock Passes
James Orson Bullock 81 a Pleasant Grove pioneer and prominent citizen died at home after a long illness linked to influenza. Born November 2 1849 in Salt Lake City he held multiple civic and legislative roles including Pleasant Grove mayor and Utah County commissioner. His funeral Thursday featured state lawmakers, musical honors, and interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Gold and Green Contest Dance Finals Held
The finals of the Caprice contest dance by the M I A were held in the High School Auditorium Thursday evening with a fair attendance. Pleasant Grove Second ward won first, Third ward took second, and First ward third. Best dancers were Ruth Peay Eldon Johnson May Wadley and Don Wright. Alternates were Gennieve Pugal and Harold Peay. They will compete in a division contest before the church finals in spring.
