Alexander Gray Wardroph Gray 20, pioneer of Pleasant Grove, died Wednesday at his son Lloyd Gray’s home from heart disease. Born May 24, 1861 in Haver Straw New York, he married Lucy Stewart Feb 17 1886 in St George Temple. Survived by Loyd Gray Beatrice Christensen Andrew Gray Sarah Christensen Maggie Burstan nine grandchildren twenty one great grandchildren. Funeral Saturday at 12 30 am Pleasant Grove Ward with Bishop Ertman Christensen officiating. Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Services Friday 8 9 pm at Olpin Mortuary and Saturday 10 am at Lloyd Gray’s home.

Estella Petera Bunnell Jr died Tuesday evening at her Pleasant Grove home after a six month illness born December 15 1888 in Holden Utah. She married Ed Bunnell in Raymond Canada on December 15 1905 and lived in Park City before moving to Pleasant Grove in 1926. Survived by husband seven sons and daughters thirteen grandchildren and one brother. Funeral services Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Third LDS Ward Chapel conducted by Calving Waller with viewing Friday 7 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to time of services Olpin Mortuary Pleasant Grove midways cemetery burial.

Mr and Mrs Moss Nielsen announce the marriage of their daughter Ann to Douglas E Hoopes son of Mr and Mrs Marion E Hoopes. The couple wed Friday February 1 at the Salt Lake Temple. They honeymooned in Southern Utah. Ann studies at BYU while Douglas works at Wasatch Furnace in Provo. A reception for the couple will be held February 15 in the First Ward recreation hall.

Relief Society Visiting Teachers Honored at Timpanogos Stake Event
Visiting teachers throughout Timpanogos Stake were honored at a well arranged First Ward gathering Friday afternoon. The Relief Society Stake Board sponsored the festive occasion with blooming daffodils and azaleas adorning the chapel and serving room. Longest serving teachers were introduced by Pres. Olpin, including Minnie Oscarson 48 years and Pearl Wadley 45 years. Thelma Adamson gave a tribute and Alice Deveréux responded. Citywide dog license deadline set for March fifteenth
Byron Adamson city councilman says all dogs in Pleasant Grove must be licensed by March 15 with fees three dollars for male and ten dollars for female dogs. Unlicensed dogs will be destroyed and breeders warn of packs at night. In parts of the county, valuable purebreds have died from neglect and cold.
