City Wage Scale To Be Raised In Pleasant Grove
At the regular council meeting Councilmen voted to raise city wages from 2.70 to 3.00 a day for single hands and from 4.50 to 5.00 for two men and team effective January 1, 1936. The Streets committee was authorized to handle street marking, stop signs, rock hazards on South Cemetery street, and dirt scraping in the bar pit. The waterworks will be largely metered by end of 1985 and the fire hydrant relocation near roller malls was approved. Mayor Limt received the resignation letter from councilman Johnson, who will become mayor for the next two years.
