Pleasant Grove High to stage Little Women play

Pleasant Grove High School presents Little Women on Thursday December 7 at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium directed by Maude Akab and Cleo Cullimort. The four March sisters face Civil War era hardships as Jo pursues writing, Beth falls ill, and love complicates family life with Aunt March and Professor Bhaer adding to the prospects. Cast includes Jeanne Pulley Joan Liscomb Jo Ann Roundy Carol Smith and others with costumes by Ellen Brady Gwen Beck Arlene Jorgensen and stage crew led by Merrill Hone.

Timpanogos 70s Quorums Stage Minstrel Show

The Seventies Quorums of the Impanogos Stake will stage minstrel entertainment on Saturdays in December at the high school auditorium. A cast of 35 rehearses nightly for a high class production with one children’s show and an adults night on Monday.

M Men Basketball Off To Good Start At Timpanogos

The 1950-51 M Men Basketball tournament at Timpanogos State opened with Lindon vs Third Ward, Lindon losing 87-18 after a close first half. Manila Ward beat First 46-26, and Second Ward edged Grove 31-30 after overtime in a thrill-filled night.

The Timpanogos Stake Square Dance Group will meet Saturday evening December 2 at 8 p m in Manila Ward. It is important that everyone attend to form the squares.

Santa Claus Parade Set for December 23 in Toyland Theme

Pleasant Grove Jaycees announce a December 23 parade at 3 PM through the business district featuring Santa Claus, grand prize floats, and grade school decorations. The Pleasant Grove High School band will lead floats decorated by children, with candy distribution and merchant prizes. Lighting efforts begin December 5 as new decorations arrive, with Utah Power and Light providing downtown illumination.

Stake Missionary Party A Very Successful Affair

The Timpanogos Stake Mission sponsored a Saturday evening event in the Stowri pro where new converts and workers gathered. The program featured Vilace Radinall, skits by H Buemeister and others, readings by Jay Olson, a Thief ward girls skit, and closing songs. About 50 guests attended.

Merrill N Warnick and Sons, Utah Holstein Friesian breeders, received the Progressive Breeders Award for the second year in a row.
