Advanced Scouters Admit Seven Into Unique Tribal Council
Seven new members were initiated into the Secret Order of the Skunk Skull, an advanced Scouts and Scouters group in the Third ward. Initiation was led by Explorer Leader Calvin Walker with troop committeemen and commissioners in full regalia. New members include past Scoutmasters David Williamson and Ed Warburton, Fred Scholes, Hyrum Johnson, William C. Smith, John Christiansen, and Charles Christiansen. The event featured Indian regalia, council-fire talks, and a post-ceremony social at Cave Camp with ice cream and cantaloupe. The honorary organization, launched over a year ago, includes national park officials and council members who credit it with promoting scouting. Fred Shoell serves as honorary chief. Calvin Walker as active chief.

Charming Reception Celebrates Cutler Wedding
A wedding reception Tuesday night at Third Ward Amusement Hall honored Mr and Mrs Lewis H. Cutler after their Salt Lake City temple marriage. Lorena Radmall, the bride, wore white net over satin as music filled the hall where 350 guests enjoyed an orange and green decor theme, cake, dancing, and a brief program led by M S Christiansen. The couple plan a Honeymoon to the El Towstone national park. Witnesses included the bride’s parents, Mr and Mrs Alms Radmall, and relatives.

City Recreation Program To End After A Season
The city recreation committee ends the season Thursday August 31 after providing band concerts softball series at the lighted park and activities for men women and children including storytelling handicraft sand modeling and more.
