Timpanogos Stake Conference Draws Large Attendance
The Timpanogos Stake held its second quarterly conference Saturday and Sunday with broad participation. Apostle O I Jo of the Council of Twelve Apostles attended. President Warnick spoke on family prayer and duty, with remarks from James H Clarke Alpine Stake and Bishop Christansen. Apostle Whitney emphasized scriptural keys and guidance, and musical numbers featured the stake choir and soloists. 111 people attended the afternoon session as officials were sustained and Joseph Olpin moved to Heber with M S Christianson assigned to fill the vacancy.

A committee including M. S. Christiansen and W. W. Warnick met Alpine school board to urge funding for a Pleasant Grove junior high and Lincoln high auditorium. They cite overcrowded four high schools and two urgent heating projects, propose converting Manila and old Central buildings to help finance new classrooms.

Funeral Services Held For Mark Richins
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p m in the tabernacle for Mark Richins who died at his home Thursday April 18 from heart failure. Bishop M S Christiansen conducted. A vocal duet opened the service. Speakers included Chivla Fugal Mr Allen Dr Grant and Niels Paget. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

Camp No 1 of the Daughters of the Pioneers holds a Sunday meeting at 2 p.m. in the tabernacle basement. The program includes the history of Mrs Rawlines, sister to Mrs Annie Holman, two solos by Ora H Chipman, poems about Mrs Rawlings by Ora H Chipman, and a Western history lesson by Mrs Elton Taylor. Merchants Aid In Park Cleanup After Tree Removal
On Wednesday afternoon local merchants and business men gathered at the new park corner to remove elm trees uprooted by a county tractor. They trimmed mia, burned the trees, and disposed of stumps while root removal is planned for next week. Principal Warnick and his high school students will assist with filling old cellars with rubble.

Scout Masters in the district met for their regular monthly Scout Masters training course. Region 12 and the Unmanogos council discussed motivation plans, problems, and the summer camping program. Adams Slips From Wagon Sprains Left Arm
