Pleasant Grove High School Challenge Team won three straight High School Challenge quiz games on TV Channel 4 defeating Jordan High School 255 to 35 and North Summit 370 to 50, setting a single game points record. The squad led by adviser Mrs Jeri Craner includes Howard Smith Helen Miller Gary Anderson Susan Robinson Karen Green and qualified for state finals as undefeated Utah Valley’s sole rep. Their next appearance airs April 30 at 10 30 a m against Murray High.

Utah AMA Motocross Set for Manning Cycle Park Weekend
Utah's first AMA Professional Motocross will be held at Manning Cycle Park in Manning Canyon Utah on Saturday and Sunday April 29 and 30 District 26 qualifying races are scheduled for Saturday with multiple Sports class events and professional races on Sunday. Guest star Malcolm Smith from On Any Sunday will attend along with numerous national racers joining local Utah riders. Admission is 3.25 dollars and fans can expect thrilling recce events and lively competition.

Grove Police Report Shows Busy Two Weeks
Over the two weeks from May 27 to April 9 Grove police logged 62 traffic contacts 42 car checks 46 public and motorist assists and served papers on 12 individuals. They answered 3 prowler calls assisted other agencies 11 times and investigated 5 accidents with $1085 in damage. Juveniles were returned to school and several thefts vandalism and burglaries were logged with multiple items recovered or recovered pending charges.

Lindon Citizens to Clean Up City During Next Week
Lindon residents are asked to join a city cleanup April 25 to 28 to remove trash debris and weeds. Painting outbuildings and weed removal are planned with an ordinance against junk cars and materials. Violations are a misdemeanor. Garbage collection is set for Saturday morning April 29.

Merrill N. Warnick to Be Honored Friday
Merrill N. Warnick of Pleasant Grove Utah County will be honored at the Hi Land Dairymen's Association annual meeting Friday at Hotel Utah. Eugene Pace will present the tribute. Warnick has been a national dairy leader and will retire after 17 years on Hi Land's board following herd disposition. Mrs Lorena Warnick was Utah Mother of the Year in 1964.

Tryouts for new and Pioneer League players are this Saturday Apr 22 at the ball diamonds east of the swimming pool.
