Six districts in Lindon Pleasant Grove and Manila select sponsoring clubs and elect district candidates aged 17 to 21 who have not been queen before. Districts hold elections by May 5th with winners chosen by audience vote May 9th, awarding Strawberry Day Queen, Miss Pleasant Grove, and four attendants.

E H Johnson former Orem city councilman announces Monday he will seek the Democratic nomination for Utah County Clerk. Fathers of the couple joined Brigham Young's first company to Salt Lake Valley. Winners Selected In Solo Contest Sponsored By The Cadmus Club
Winners of the Cadmus Club second annual solo contest were Mish Jonnie Whitened daughter of Mr and Mrs Ro Whitehead and Mise Bay Were Jensen violinist daughter of Mr and Mrs Invin Jensen. Awards were presented by Mrs Effie Adams president of Cadmus. The event at the high school Thursday evening drew a large audience with performances by contestants and the Boys and Girls Glee clubs. The Cadmus Club thanks townspeople for support of the project and music director Irwin Jensen and school officials for cooperation.

Katherine Herron Krauss Laid To Rest In Pleasant Grove
Katherine Herron Krauss a Pleasant Grove native died Friday in Salt Lake City. Interment was in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with funeral services in Salt Lake City led by Bishop Prica and Paul Blackhurst giving the dedicatory prayer. Survivors include her husband Charles Krauss and several brothers and sisters. A luncheon followed burial at the home of Mr and Mrs Thomas Simper attended by many local mourners.
