Funeral Held Tuesday For Bruce Harvey

James Bruce Harvey 69 a Pleasant Grove lifelong resident died Friday in American Fork hospital of a heart ailment He was born Sept 12 1882 to Alfred and Aymes Brown Harvey He farmed and raised fruit in the area and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints He never married Survived by several nieces and nephews relatives and friends attended the Third Ward chapel for the service directed by Bishop Calvin Walker with speakers and musical tributes before interment in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery directed by Olpin Mortuary.

Richardson twins born in Sacramento hospital

Mr and Mrs Wim Richardson announce the birth of twin grandsons in Sacramento California. The newborns arrived to Lester and Claire Richardson Meisner on April 8 as noted in local social notes. Sam Green elected president of the PG Jaycees at the April 9 election held in city hall. City Council discusses buying rodeo grounds from Strawberry Days

Pleasant Grove council at its Monday meeting explored purchasing the 20 acre rodeo grounds from Strawberry Days Rodeo Incorporated for about 25000 dollars. The mayor appointed councilors to study financing and indicated the site would become a recreation area for Strawberry Days events and other activities.
