Road program advances under FERA workers in Pleasant City

W. W. Lim oversees a county road building effort with FERA and workers. A rock crusher is on site and projects include a ditch from Third Ward Chapel area to F C Shoell rest and a line to American Fork school. Pleasant City and Utah County share costs as drainage and irrigation improvements proceed.

Sewing classes at city hall aid FERA workers

Sewing classes under the FERA program, led by Clarence Pierce, are held at the city hall on Monday Tuesday Friday and 7 from 10 pm to 4 pm. The service will be towed unless proper assistance is provided.

Scouts who joined in the past six weeks held a campfire luncheon near Battle Creek with eggs potatoes fried and beefsteak. Participants included Josiah Kemp Jack ies George Pratt William Iverson and Glenroy Iverson. The event closed the training course with a social by the creek.

Griffin Marriage Brings Wes City Lovers Together

The marriage of Mrs. Larue Smith and Edward Griffin of Wes occurred March 8 at 1 pm. Mrs. Smith, a former city president, and Mr. Griffin who lived in Pleasant, wed under the auspices of the OBD Mut Co. Friends send congratulations as the Columbus packing season begins.

Lui H Linebaugh leads UT team of forty ins to their first meet at Spanish Fork next month. The squad trains hard to set new records as "A Noble Guest" is planned for Friday night at the high school under Mr Lycan. Final Respect Paid Former Resident

Funeral services for Arthur Doane husband of Rowena Adamson Doane formerly of Pleasant Grove now in San Francisco were held in the Third Ward chapel with Bishop Atwood in charge. Various speakers and musical tributes spoke of his character, faith, and love of music and art before interment in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
