A funeral for Major Gould will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at Cape M. AFB with Chaplain (Maj.) Charles A. Baker officiating. He died recently after serving as a bomber pilot in World War II and the Korean conflict. He lived at 25 Bayou Woods Drive, Fort Walton Beach, and leaves a widow, Dorothy. He earned a West Virginia University horticulture degree and was pursuing entomology at Ohio State University when recalled to duty. Burial will be in Fairhope Cemetery Weston West Virginia.

An Argentine airliner carrying 44 aboard was hijacked by heavily armed extremists. The hijackers, identified as Darde Cabo, claimed symbolic possession of the Falkland Islands and forced the pilot to fly to Port Stanley where they renamed the airport Aeropuerto Rivera.
