SANTIAGO UPI Pablo Neruda the Nobel prizewinning Chilean poet aged 89 was reported by his doctor Sunday to be near death from cancer. Dr Sergio Dyapper said the poet was in a state of coma and shock and death was expected at any moment. Neruda won the Nobel prize for literature in 1971 and had resigned as ambassador to France a year earlier.
