Court Orders Hearing On Suspended Doctor
Circuit Judge William Frye ordered the Okaloosa County Hospital System to grant Valparaiso physician Dr. George D. Hoffeld a prompt hearing on his medical privileges within two or three weeks. The judge refused to reinstate him pending the hearing and noted Hoffeld had been denied due process after privileges were withdrawn following a secret board session. Hoffeld, a 56-year practitioner from Brooklyn, had practiced in Valparaiso since November, sharing offices with Dr. Howard Parker before Parker moved to Shalimar.

Cinco Bayou Crash Injures Three In Morning Collision
A station wagon collided head on with a Mack tractor in Cinco Bayou at 6 15 am injuring three. Fort Walton Beach residents Milton Klaudt and Allen Zimmerle were severely hurt, Zimmerle with a dislocated hip, while Douglas Vickery of Pensacola drove the tractor and was treated for injuries and released.
