In Oregon's presidential primary Sen. George McGovern led polls as the odds-on favorite to win the 34 delegates. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy drew attention as the main challenger. Local polls showed McGovern at 35 percent, Humphrey at 18, Wallace and Jackson at eight, Kennedy at seven.
Peter Noto ran out of gas and, with three friends, rode home on four horses to a Rochester apartment. They tied the animals to a bush a drainpipe and a water spigot. A police officer later questioned if the horses were theirs after a three hour wait. No law existence on horse parking was found.
Fort Walton Beach Realtors announce Realtor Week 1972 with a call to emphasize Americas positive aspects. Moe Hersh president lists events through Saturday including Teacher of the Year Home of the Year and Firemen Memorial awards.
