The House Appropriations Committee cut 30 million dollars from U S contributions to the United Nations and related groups as part of a 4.6 billion funding bill for State Justice and Commerce. Rep John J Rooney cited discontent over replacing Nationalist China with Communist China and predicted deeper cuts.
