Los Angeles AP reports Charles Manson and three female defendants Arthur Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Leslie Van Houten face death sentences for the Sharon Tate slayings. Attorneys expect appeals on publicity pretrial issues, venue, prejudice of a joint trial, and evidence admissibility with possible Supreme Court review over five years.
Four Ocean City Wright Volunteer Fire Department units responded Tuesday to a fire at the Arrowwood Apartments on Greenacre in Wright. Firefighters reported the blaze started in an air conditioner, causing about 1,800 dollars in damage to walls and ceiling.

A Tuesday 12:12 a.m. crash on State Road 20 east of Niceville caused 3200 damages to a 1969 car and minor injuries to driver Donald Wellsand, 21, of Valparaiso. The car rolled multiple times over about 345 feet before stopping in a ditch. Wellsand faced charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene.
