The Florida House approved 76 to 28 a bill closing a loophole in the corporate income tax by creating an 8 to 10 million bank franchise tax for aid. The chamber also passed 107 to 1 a measure repealing the sales tax on household fuels. Both go to the Senate.

A burglar broke into WSEM in Donalsonville and stole most of the station’s top 100 records while passing up gospel titles. The break in occurred Tuesday and police are investigating.
