Hurlburt pilot dies as OV-10A crashes during exercise
An Air Force OV-10A Bronco from the 410th Combat Crew Training Wing at Hurlburt Field crashed Thursday morning during the BOLDSHOT-BRIM FIRE 569 exercise at Fort Campbell Kentucky, killing Capt. Ennis A. Roper 31 of Birmingham Alabama. A board of officers will investigate the cause. He is survived by his wife Barbara two children and his parents, all of Birmingham.

Advisory subcommittee named to aid governor during reorganization
A House Senate subcommittee will be named to advise the governor and Cabinet during the phase in of the reorganized state government. Senator Welborn Daniel said the advisory group will likely be appointed shortly after the law takes effect next Tuesday. Budget Director Wallace Henderson requested the assist. Henderson said his staff is recasting the billion dollar appropriations bill to fit the Reorganization Act and ensure proper funneling to new agencies.
