The Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce selects a target like emblem representing the Gulf of Mexico and beaches with the word fun in the center. Robbie Rogers and Lt Col Pete Ballas share a $100 prize for the winning design used on letterheads decals signs and posters to attract tourists.

The Island Authority Board OKs a 15000 remodeling of the Okaloosa Island Authority building including new air conditioning, duct system, paneling, carpeting, a back office for judge’s chambers, a redecorated lobby, and a vault for securing county documents. Rent-free space starts July 1.
