Gun battles unfold as refugees flee Belfast clashes

In North Belfast the worst sectarian gun battles in 10 months prompted hundreds to flee. British PM lawmaker William Whitelaw sent 800 more troops to reinforce 14,500 soldiers. Series of Thefts Reported in Area

A rash of burglaries and thefts prompted Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputies to investigate Sunday evening and Monday morning. The Holiday Inn saw two thefts: Donnie Caraway and companions reported 329 dollars plus cards and licenses missing from adjoining rooms. Robert Jevis reported 137 dollars missing from a wife’s billfold. Deputies Borin and Borio led investigations. other cases included a stolen rape deck and tapes from a car and a 900 dollar 1967 BSA motorcycle theft by Royce Haney, with Deputy Blackburn assigned.
