Last Planned Moon Mission Is Launched
CAPE KENNEDY (UPL) Explorer 49, America's last planned moon satellite, launched from Cape Kennedy aboard a Delta rocket at 10:13 a.m. EDT. The 442-pound craft will orbit at about 9.682 miles and uses four 750-foot antennas to study low frequency radio signals from the Milky Way and beyond over a five day, quarter million mile journey. Dr. Robert G. Stone, chief scientist, expects first studies in 35 to 40 days.

GOP Panelist Questions Nixon Actions Over Watergate Data
Senate Watergate Committee member Lowell Weicker voiced skepticism about President Nixon's handling of the scandal. Two infants home first, remaining three to join soon once weight stabilizes. Older sons are adopted. In London a clash at Brockwell Park fairground left three officers injured as 20 youths fought police involving 105 officers.
