Holt Man Held In Shooting
A Holt man, Howard Gordon Grice, 2%, Route 1, Holt, was arrested Saturday night for assault with intent to murder Crestview resident Ibra Lee George. The shooting occurred at Clayton Guard Armory, leaving George in critical condition after a chest wound from a 20 gauge shotgun. George was treated at Okaloosa Memorial Hospital and then Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Investigation led by Chief Deputy Donald Simpson and Deputy Martel McCallum.

Two-Year-Old Injured In Tighway 85 Collision Near Niceville
A two year old boy sustained a head injury and bruises when a car and a pickup collided at the Tighway 85 and 190 intersection north of Niceville Sunday around 7 pm. The child, son of Mr and Mrs Jimmie Nixon, was treated at Niceville Valparaiso Hospital and released. Evelyn McDuffie 17 of DeFuniak Springs in the touring vehicle will be charged with reckless driving and two occupants were involved.
