Bomb blast injures 25 in Belfast bar during night violence
A bomb at Clarkins Bar on Springfield Road wounded 25 patrons including two seriously. Civilian and police formed a chain to pull the injured from rubble as it shattered walls and windows. A second blast hit Desertmartin with no serious damage. Wrong house drug raid shocks Winthrop family
A 20 month investigation led to a drug raid aimed at a nearby home but 15 armed officers burst into the Pines' Winthrop residence at 10 am. William Pine, his wife, and their 13 year old daughter Melody were held at gunpoint for about 15 minutes before officers realized they had entered the wrong house across the driveway.
