Two rapid transit trains collided during evening rush hour in Jersey City New Jersey injuring about 200 with five in critical condition. Passengers described a loud impact as a third train struck the rear of a car near the Jersey City station. The line, carrying 100000 daily between New York and New Jersey, halted for about an hour while Jersey City Medical Center treated victims and called in extra doctors.

Nunes, a Fort Walton Beach insurance agent, was elected unopposed as chairman of the Okaloo Island Authority Board of Directors at Thursday's meeting. Other officers named include CP Holland as vice chairman and Chris A Johnson as secretary treasurer. Nunes, a longtime political helper to Gov.
