Fort Walton Beach Municipal Court heard four youths charged after Christmas Day alcohol incidents. Guy J. Bridgeman Jr 21 faced a 50 fine and possible 30 days for contributing to delinquency of minors. Frank Anthony Ross Jr 20 paid a 10 fine for consuming alcohol as a minor. Steve Brown 17 received 50 fine or 10 days plus 60 days suspended on strict conditions. Edward Piburn 17 was found not guilty.

FAA Grounds AO Airliners Over Elevator Trim Tabs
The FAA grounded 40 FH227 turboprops operated by Ozark Northeast and Piedmont after reports of buffeting and possible elevator trim tab failures. The agency ordered inspections of the trim tab system and limited flight speed to 170 knots until analysis of inspection results. No accidents have been blamed on the faulty tabs.
