Club Operator Arrested In Slaying At Gulf Coast Nightspot
James Blackwell 30, operator of a Biloxi nightclub, was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder in the slaying of Harry Bennett, a 65 year old gambler found shot eight times outside his apartment last weekend. An arrest warrant was issued for Aris Diamondeius alias Art Diamond, who runs another Gulfport club. Bond set at 1500. hearing scheduled Jan 8 in county court. Bennett was among 16 men indicted by a federal grand jury on gambling charges, though Blackwell and Diamondeius were not part of that indictment.

SAWC Planning Reorganization Moves Units at Eglin and Hurlburt
