A fire Thursday at the Sasser residence in Villa Tasso caused about 2500 dollars in damage to the home and its contents. Neil Tousignant, assistant fire chief, said the house was unoccupied and neighbors reported the blaze at 6 15 p m. The fire was contained to one bedroom with smoke damaging adjoining brick areas.

Car-Pickup Collision Injures Mother and Child
A two year old boy and his mother Glenda Dunham were hospitalized after a collision on Highway 9B east of Seashore Village when their car was struck from behind by a 1966 Chevrolet pickup driven by Robert L. McBride. McBride was jailed on drunken driving charges after his vehicle upended and skidded 240 feet. McBride received minor lacerations and was treated at Fort Walton Beach Hospital. The Dunhams were taken to Eglin Air Force Base Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.
