Local teachers adopt wait and see attitude

Fire Destroys Rental House in Ocean City

State Deputy Fire Marshal Don Steverson and Ocean City Wright Fire Chief Maurice Samson investigated a Sunday morning blaze at 671 Anderson Dr a rental owned by Julian Land. Firefighters contained the fire within four minutes, but the home was a total loss and no injuries occurred. The chief said the fire appeared suspicious and an investigation was ordered.

Hood Charged With Careless Driving

An Foglin man, Erwin Toad, faces charges after a Saturday afternoon collision in the Towncrest Shopping Center parking lot. He allegedly backed into two teenage riders on a motorcycle, leaving the scene while one rider, Phillip Gaines, 19, was taken to Kelim Hospital by his mother.
