Goldberg Credits Both Parties With Current Economy Crisis

Robbery at Getz home prompts armed suspects search

Fort Walton Beach police report no definite progress in the $22,000 armed robbery of Ronald and Mrs Getz at their 328 Sudduth Circle home. Warrants issued and FBI fugitive warrants filed for two men, including Richard Barton. Items stolen include a four carat diamond ring a diamond watch and a diamond cluster ring and pin. A traffic collision Friday injured no one and led to careless driving charges against Robert Jackson. The Getzs own Jackie's House of Diamonds in the Fort Walton Beach area.

Beached Whales Rescued After Manual Reversals at Boca Grande

About 50 rescuers in water for hours tried to steer roughly 47 beached whales back to deeper water as they fought and rolled over. Some whales died while two small ones were captured for aquarium study.

Phone Company Office Damaged In Cherry Bomb Incident

Damages estimated at 300 dollars were inflicted on the South eastern Telephone Co. Valpa Talao offices Saturday morning. Sheriff Ray Wilson said a small explosive near a window was likely a cherry bomb and the incident may be the work of juveniles, under investigation.
