Love Sets Sail for Vietnam Bride in 10,000-M mile Raft Attempt
Louizell Haynes, 24, launched Friday from San Francisco in a 16 foot raft with oars and a parachute sail to reach his love Kim in Vietnam. He carried $200 in food and hoped to sail 10,000 miles westward via the Golden Gate. Four hours later the Coast Guard found him three miles farther from Vietnam and unlikely to retry.
