Nixon Seeks Cash and Credit Moves to Expand Home Mortgages
President Nixon urged Congress to fund a broad housing program including up to 2.5 billion in forward commitments for savings and loan lenders, 3 billion for new housing, FHA to insure multifamily dwellings, and a 3 percent tax credit for investors.
