Chilean armed forces stormed the Presidential Palace ousting President Allende and closing Congress. A military junta announced a curfew and plans to cut ties with Cuba as the regime collapsed amid tanks and warplanes.
Residents petitioned to place bumper strips in the alley between 1700 and 1800 Northcrest after a two year old was struck and killed nearby. They note ignored 10 mph signs and call the cost study a broken promise while urging action this year or sooner.
Trustees approved Batson-Cook Cost-Plus plan for the 11-12 grade senior high school with a guaranteed maximum cost of 9 521 185 including a 5 5 percent contractor fee. The Cotton Belt Railroad pleaded no contest and paid a 50 dollar fine after blocking an intersection in Plano for over 20 minutes.
