High Water Mark Pany Seeks Revised Revenue From Touch Call Rates

The council discussed revenue projections for General Telephone with an expected $25 272 annual increase from touch call rates and a $12 000 to $16 000 range from higher installation fees. An Aug 9 ordinance aimed at $165 000 was reduced to $122 000 due to instrument counting issues and the franchise ordinance would raise returns from 7.8 to 8.0 percent. The panel did not act on a franchise tax increase, plans to renegotiate later, and reappointed members to two commissions while reviewing unincorporated territory and floodplain data for future annexation decisions.
