Plano voters weigh nine constitutional amendments in low turnout
County Clerk James Webb expects only 10 to 15 percent of Collin County’s 35 000 registered voters to vote in the Tuesday election with about 3 500 total ballots cast. Absentee voting totals show 14 Plano voters so far at the Chaddick Center as Plano opens its first absentee office. Balloting runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at six Plano locations. Amendments include pay increases for legislators and changes to homestead protections for singles, with broad local support and little opposition noted.
