Baccalaureate and graduation events mark the end of the 1977 senior year at Plano Senior High School. Baccalaureate tonight features Rev. Marshall Edwards of Waco delivering the address. diplomas for about 827 graduates will be awarded Monday at Moody Coliseum, SMU in Dallas. Megan Peek leads honor graduates with 97.25 GPA as Brian McCall and Gerritt Pronske speak on commitments.

Prestonwood Center to reshape Plano retail landscape
Ernest W Hahn Inc plans a 1,034,000 square foot Prestonwood Town Center at Belt Line Road and Dallas Parkway with five anchors including Titches, Neiman Marcus, Montgomery Ward and J C Penney. The Plano Council and School Board raise the assessment ratio from 70 to 85 percent of market value for the 1977 tax year. Notices to property owners will show the 85 percent assessed value with deductions for Homesteads Veterans or Agricultural designations and may display new 1976 market values. A full city reappraisal is underway with new values effective for 1978.
