City Reports $5.7 Million Budget In Excellent Shape
City Manager David Griffin told the City Council the six month balance shows the $5.7 million operating budget in excellent condition with an estimated fund balance of about $630,931 by Sept 30, up from $592,962 last year. Revenue gains stem from sales tax and franchise taxes while several departments may overspend by year end, totaling about $114,862.

Police Arrest Four In Plano Tuesday
Plano police arrested four people on Tuesday including an 18 year old girl for failing to sign a traffic citation a 33 year old man for driving while intoxicated a 30 year old man on traffic charges and a 30 year old man on a speeding warrant. Officers also handled two bicycle theft reports investigated a motor vehicle burglary and logged two reports of criminal mischief while answering 56 calls for assistance.
