Burglaries Hit Plano Over Weekend
Plano police report burglaries were prevalent over the weekend with twelve motor vehicles and two residences burglarized, plus eight thefts. Officers arrested 18 people including four juveniles for burglary and others for theft shoplifting drunkenness and traffic. Police answered 179 calls and logged seven accidents.

Zoning Denied for 217-Acre Plano Tract by P Z Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission denied zoning on Leon Hodges Jr's 217 acre tract northwest Plano without prejudice. He sought 123.5 acres SF-4 residential, 49.4 acres light commercial, 21.5 acres PD office, 23 acres PD retail south of Spring Creek Pkwy between Alma and US 75. The Lancer's Estates land study was approved with a footbridge added to the 30.7 acre tract.
