Marie Renfro received the Best of Show prize for her oil painting at Sundays Spring Art Show sponsored by the Piano Art Assn. She, a prominent local artist and former association president, displayed more of her work at a booth. The event also featured a Plano Flower Show by four local garden clubs with Gladys Cox earning an Award of Merit for Verbenia. Hundreds of entries across student and adult categories drew a large crowd at Plano Senior High School student center.

Dairy Queen at 3100 14th St was burglarized early Saturday when a window was entered at 5 33 am. About $12 in change was taken from a cigarette machine.
