Plano Child Guidance Clinic Celebrates Third Birthday Open House

The Plano Child Guidance Clinic marks its third anniversary with an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1412 E. 14th St. Led by Dr. Larry Clamon and Peggy Hawthorne, the clinic serves about 25 outpatients weekly and seeks United Way support to expand.

Plano implements cycle billing for city water

Plano announces a four cycle water billing system to spread workload. Area One bills on the first, due the 10th. Cycle Two on the fifth with due the 15th but delayed due to printing. Cycle Three on the 10th due the 20th. Cycle Four on the 15th due the 25th. A fifth cycle may follow north of Spring Creek and U S 75 once developed. May and June bills may be slightly larger due to period changes.

Radar Installed In Parker Cars

Parker Municipal Judge Tom Morgan announced radar speed control equipment is now in all city law enforcement cars. He cited heavy traffic and rising accidents on Parker Road and FM routes as reasons for stricter enforcement with a 45 mph main road limit and 35 mph residential limit, noting support from Collin County and state agencies.

Plano Welcomes New Continental Trailways Greyhound Terminal

Continental Trailways and Greyhound open a new Plano bus terminal with ribbon cutting led by Mayor Norman Whitsitt. Leon Caplinger named terminal manager as buses including a Silver Eagle and the antique Yellow Jacket will be on view. Terminal hours run 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Board Nixes Open Campus

The school board closes nine and ten grade campuses for lunch next fall and limits off campus lunch to 11th and 12th graders at the senior high. Williams 10th grade becomes an extension of the senior high for 1975 76, with Haggard designated as an annex to Williams.

Five Year Olds Can Register for Plano Kindergartens

Pre-registration for the 1975 76 kindergarten year in the Plano Independent School District is set for Thursday and Friday at all 11 elementary schools. Parents must bring a certified birth certificate showing the child is five by September 1 1975 and a physician signed immunization record for diphtheria tetanus polio Red measles and German measles. Registration starts at 9 a.m. at each school with special sites for Jackson Elementary and Hughston Elementary zones.
