Summer Programs Registration Begins
Registration opens for Plano elementary and secondary summer school programs. Elementary classes run 8 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. June 6 to July 1 at Sigler Elementary and include reading writing spelling math and arts. Secondary courses 7:45 a.m. to noon cover English math science social studies with various electives at Williams High School. tuition 22 per quarter and credit earned. Special Education also offered at Sigler and Williams with 25 tuition.

Plano Choirs Headed to Georgia Contest
Plano Senior High Mixed and Girls Choirs travel to Atlanta Georgia for a Six Flags Over Georgia sponsored contest. The Girls Choir performs Thursday at 2 15 p m and the Mixed Choir on Saturday at 1 p m with 96 students and 10 sponsors. They return Sunday around noon. Directed by R J Winters and DeWayne McCullough, the groups recently won Sweepstakes at the Region III UIL contest in Plano.

Police Report Two Assaults In Plano Area
Police logged two assaults Monday in Plano. A 16-year-old said a man in his early 30s beat him after a near collision. The 14-year-old suffered bruises at Willow Creek Park where a 12-year-old was also involved. Officers investigated one auto theft two thefts and one criminal mischief. Three runaways were reported and a bicycle was recovered. A 14-year-old was arrested and held for juvenile authorities.
