Residents spar over mini-warehouse plan at Greenhollow
Greenhollow residents confronted the Planning and Zoning Commission Monday night to block a Colonial Self Storage addition at the Thunderbird Lexington corner. The chair ruled zoning established for a decade and that warehouses are allowed. Residents urged landscaping and a tabling of the final plot to form a homeowners association, but were told the proposal cannot be tabled. The next council meeting was suggested to seek added screening, while planners proposed future landscaping ordinances. Other actions included annexation and zoning of 37.4 acres at FM 544 and Addison Rd for a PLD LI zone, a PD restriction on the Herman Lay tract, approval of an auto transformer on Spring Creek Pkwy, and revised site plans for Custer Pkwy Professional Center with a 90-child day care and no screening, plus a Hunters' Glen 5A plat for a 73 acre park and 1.5 acre office lot.
