One-Car Crash Injures Dallas Woman in Early Morning Incident
A Dallas woman, 35-year-old Mary Smith Rose, is in critical condition at Presbyterian Hospital after a one car crash early Saturday. Police believe she lost control on Park Blvd near Marlborough and rolled several times. She was found under a 1971 Datsun 300 feet east of Marlborough. Two other accidents left two people with minor injuries including six year old Kenneth McIntyre struck by a 1972 Buick on Avenue F near 10th Street and Lois Miller hurt in a loss of control crash on US 75 near Parker Road.

Weekend Assaults Reported To Police
Four assaults were reported over the weekend none were serious. A 12-year-old and a 14-year-old were shot while playing south of Creekwood Apartments. A 34-year-old man was beaten by three men in the 1100 block of Avenue F. A Jack in the Box employee suffered minor facial injuries after an irate customer attacked him for waiting too long. Police also arrested several youths for criminal mischief and multiple adults for illegal entry, intoxication, and other offenses. The department handled 182 calls and 32 motor vehicle inspections.

Firefighters Busy With Minor Fires This Weekend
Fire department responded to 22 ambulance calls and extinguished a grease fire, a trash fire, and three grass fires mainly on Sunday.
