Plano Walkathon supports March of Dimes health drive
On March 27 the March of Dimes Walkathon in Plano will cover 20 miles from William's High School starting at 8 30 a m rain or shine to raise funds for birth defect research and programs. Participants can walk or sponsor a walker with pledges per mile led by Sam O Jones Plano Senior High Key Club Mark Stanislav and Dan Cleveland organize sponsorship and marshal duties.

Plane undercover operation nets eight charged with drugs
A plane undercover operation ended Thursday as officers began rounding up eight persons charged with 12 counts of delivery of a controlled substance. By press time five suspects were arrested and jailed in Collin County. Officers were still seeking Hubert Beanbenship, William Beck and Mark Wilder.
