Plano High School VICA members earned 33 state berths by winning the district meet in McKinney. ICT and Auto Mechanics VICA groups dominated, with officers elected for 1975 76 and plaques awarded to advisors. State competition is set for April 24 26 in Houston.

Power workshop aids handicapped adults in Plano
POWER Inc the Pat O Connor Workshop for Evaluation and Rehabilitation in Plano serves mentally and physically handicapped adults 16 and over in north Dallas Collin County. It operates at 1130 E Dallas North Pkwy with 21 clients of 100 potential and capacity 30 to 50. Clients receive work adjustment vocational evaluation and social training with real sheltered employment. One client has been placed others await progress. Funding comes from donations training fees and state rehabilitation contracts. The six month program blends classroom social work for one hour daily with hands on production duties including packing forks spoons and knives for a Fort Worth plastics firm and bagging nuts and bolts while awaiting plant resumption.
