Paramedic Service Proposal Heads to Collin County Officials
Irwin S. Bahl presented a plan to the McKinney City Council and Collin County Commissioners Court to bring a regional EMS program similar to the TV show Emergency. The plan funds 50 percent locally with federal support and installs VHF communications in ambulances hospitals and base stations with a Collin County network centered in McKinney and a hospital remote head at Collin Memorial. It would enable real time medical guidance from hospitals and create a path toward paramedic training upgrading current EMTs in McKinney and Plano to higher certification.

Piano's third fire station plan to be shown to council
The Plano City Council will view preliminary plans for a new fire station at the southwest corner of Shiloh Road and Sherrye Drive at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the municipal building. Texas education commissioner M L Brockette will dedicate Plano Senior High School at 2 p.m. March 7. The 96 acre campus houses grades 11 and 12 with 2600 students and a $12.2 million price tag. Chairman Named For Bike A Thon in Plano
Chuck Richardson of Rich's Men's Shop in Center was named chairman of the American Diabetes Association Bike A Thon in Plano set for Sunday April 25.
