The Plano Civitan Club announced plans for a fourth of July parade with entries from local clubs and businesses. Entries must be notified for floats and cars by calling 424, while bikes require no notice. The event includes two float categories, a kids bike race, and support from Boy Scout Troop 291 and the Plano CB Club.

Building Permits Fall 36 Percent in May
Building permits for single family residences dropped 36 percent in May from 1973 levels, with 155 permits issued this May versus 235 in May 1973. Duplexes rose briefly to two permits in May, while office permits totaled two in May and April. No industrial permits were issued.

Streets Committee Studies Plano Master Thoroughfare Plan
The Streets and Thoroughfares sub committee of the Citizens Advisory Committee will meet at 7 30 p m on June 20 to study Plano citys thoroughfare master plan. The group will review current and proposed developments to advise the city council and school board long range planning committee on streets to be provided in the next three to five years. UPI reports federal judge weighs why Jack H. Bradley, serving a four month term for loan misrepresentation, has used an eight week stay at a Lawton Oklahoma Holiday Inn described as a jail type facility. Bradley says work and family distance kept him apart. motel records show no Bradley contact. The government claims deputies accepted $400 worth of beef from his employer and did not pay.

Plan Turn Ban Imposed At 15th Street And Avenue K
Plano police announce a ban on left turns from 15th Street onto Avenue K from 7 AM to 7 PM after a 30 day test. City council approved the ordinance June 10 and also removed stop signs at 16th Street Avenue H and 18th Street Avenue H. Traffic data showed shifts in turning patterns and ongoing violations during testing.

Mrs. Henry A. Kissinger has entered Bethesda Naval Hospital for ulcer treatment. The former Nancy Maginnes, 39, was admitted Thursday and expects a 10 day to two week stay. She was driven to the hospital. condition not disclosed.

Plano Police and the Plano Heritage Association announce recovery of all antiques stolen from Amy Wilson's residence following a break in on April 17. Two 19 year olds charged. one former Plano resident. The Heritage Society plans a museum at the Wilson home with donations from TP&L and local families while the H L Hunt Corporation retains ownership of the property.
