Campus Construction Stalled by TAGC Strike
The Texas Assn of General Contractors will be asked to help finish a senior high campus delayed by a Dallas strike that halted five buildings since May. If resumed by July 1, two buildings could open for fall classes though heating, air conditioning, carpeting, and lockers remain incomplete. Batson-Cook requests continued work as district enrollment rises 13 percent with about 2000 more students next year.

Plano Police report twelve mischief cases and thefts
Twelve mischief reports were filed by Plano Police along with two bicycle thefts four thefts and three residential burglaries. One bicycle was recovered. Seven people were arrested including three for marijuana possession and one for public drunkenness and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Officers logged 88 calls for assistance and investigated three accidents two of which were major. Dorothy Parker Good suffered facial lacerations in a two vehicle crash on E Dallas North Pkwy and was treated at St Paul in Dallas.

TP&L Seeks Rate Boost Before Plano Council
Texas Power and Light Co asks Plano City Council to approve an electric rate hike averaging 11 percent in revenues from electric service. Jim Taylor, TP&L manager, filed the application to appear before the council. The increase would take effect on bills issued Oct. 1, 1975, marking the fourth general TP&L rate increase in 63 years, though voluntary reductions have kept residential cost per kilowatt-hour below 1955 levels.

UTD Enrollment Breaks Records in Summer Session
The University of Texas at Dallas reports 550 enrollments by close of regular registration, a record for the summer session and up 234 from last year’s 316. Final figures await Friday close. a second term begins July 14 with more graduate programs added.

Plano High School graduate Christine Nu receives a $1000 scholarship from the Plano PTO-PTSD City Council, the largest in five years. She plans to attend East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, is an honor graduate, and served as a senior class officer. Funds came from the council’s Saturday children's movies and March of Dimes Walkathon sponsorships.
